Press and hold (or right-click) the display adapter name, then select Update driver and follow the instructions.
In Device Manager, select Display adapters, then select the display adapter. In the search box on the taskbar, type Device Manager, and then select Device Manager from the list of results. If you don't have a desktop PC and the slider doesn't appear or work, try updating the display driver. To find the brightness slider in earlier versions of Windows 10, select Settings > System > Display, and then move the Change brightness slider to adjust the brightness. The Brightness slider appears in action center in Windows 10, version 1903. To change the brightness on an external monitor, use the buttons on it. You might not see the Change brightness for the built-in display slider on desktop PCs that have an external monitor. Even if you use it, you can still move the Change brightness for the built-in display slider to fine-tune the brightness level. This automatic setting helps make sure your screen is readable wherever you go. Under Brightness and color, look for the Change brightness automatically when lighting changes check box, and then select it to use this feature. To find out if your PC supports this, select Settings > System > Display. Some PCs can let Windows automatically adjust screen brightness based on the current lighting conditions. (If the slider isn't there, see the Notes section below.) Select action center on the right side of the taskbar, and then move the Brightness slider to adjust the brightness. For more info, see Adaptive brightness and contrast in Windows. Some Windows PCs can automatically adjust the screen brightness and contrast based on content that’s displayed on your built-in screen. You might also see another check box displayed: Help improve battery by optimizing the content shown and brightness. Even if you use it, you can still move the Brightness slider to fine-tune the brightness level for a built-in display. Select Brightness, look for the Change brightness automatically when lighting changes check box, and then select it to use this feature. To find out if your PC supports this, select Settings > System > Display. But thats not all: using AMDs FreeSync technology, the CU34G2X/BK is able to synchronise its display frequency with that of your compatible graphics card to significantly reduce screen tearing and other visual disturbances such as jerkiness. (If the slider isn't there, see the Notes section below.) AOC has equipped this monitor with a 144Hz refresh rate to ensure that you can drive, aim and react more efficiently. Then, set the backlight to your preferred level.Select the Network icon on the right side of the taskbar, and then move the Brightness slider to adjust the brightness. Adjust the RGB sliders to dial in the white point and reduce contrast a few clicks to solve a highlight clipping issue. Our recommendation is to leave Gamma on setting 1 and Shadow Control on 50. We preferred the look of slightly oversaturated but accurate color delivered by calibration. It’s reasonably accurate but fixes brightness at 225 nits and has less-than-stellar gamma tracking. sRGB is available but only as a color temp choice. That will lock you into the DCI-P3 color gamut. The only picture mode that allows calibration is Standard. The V Frequency field says “FreeSync” when using that feature. The Extra menu has all remaining options, including an input selector, off timer, DDC/CI and a reset function. It interacts with the gamma presets and the RGB sliders, making it difficult to achieve an accurate calibration. The same happens to shadow detail if you turn it below 40. Values over 50 will clip highlights severely. It affects gamma at both the bottom and top of the brightness range. Also here is a slider called Shadow Control. The Medium setting works best at reducing motion blur without excessive ghosting. That way you can enhance the contrast of the dark areas on your screen drastically without affecting the rest of the image. You can either brighten darker areas or make lighter areas darker, whichever you prefer. It provides players with an extra option to adjust shadow levels.
You also get Low Blue Light, a color saturation control, and overdrive. Shadow Control is a feature shared by most AOC gaming monitors. Game Setting has six gaming modes that are specific to FPS, RTS and other types.
